Our aim for the past few months has been to build firm foundations for the forum so that we can start to increase our membership and offer support to all SEND families in Wakefield.
As for the future, Wow, where shall we start!
We relaunched the forum on 1st April 2020 which was in the middle of the COVID-19 Lockdown, and sadly had to cancel all of our relaunch plans and celebrations.
We have however used this time to rethink exactly how we could run a successful forum without the need for face to face contact. We plan to increase our virtual Cuppa & Chat sessions to twice weekly, and offer a Walk & Talk session. As soon as the current situation allows and we feel we can safely deliver face to face sessions we will start to do so.
We would also love to hear what you would like to see from our forum, and we welcome you to contact us with suggestions and requests. Whilst we can’t promise to be able to meet all requests we will consider and support your requests where possible.
Some of our other plans are top secret for now, but we will share them with you as soon as we can. We have lots of exciting things in the pipeline which we look forward to bringing you over the next few months.
