GIPSIL Service

GIPSIL SERVICE IN WAKEFIELD

GIPSIL CAMHS TRANSITIONS WELLBEING OUTREACH SERVICE

(This is not a SEND specialist service, however we do support young people with neurodivergence) Image shows GIPSIL logo

  • Aged 16-25 years
  • CAMHS experienced
  • Have an ongoing wellbeing need
  • Seeking support

 

Support

  • Up to 18 sessions of 1:1 wellbeing support in the community.
  • Weekly sessions for approximately 1hr (this can be less and a gradual build up if needed).
  • Meeting where they feel most comfortable. (We tend to meet at cafés, libraries, and local parks, but we can make home visits).
  • Blended approach if needed i.e. phone, video call and face-to-face.
  • Holistic support, creating a support plan together with realistic goals.
  • Wellbeing support examples - Safe space to talk, coping strategies, graded exposure, safety planning, risk management.
  • Additional support examples - Advocacy at appointments, benefit support and applications, engagement in community activities, travel training and onward referrals for specialist services supporting the transition.

 

Referrals - 

  • Referrals can be made by professionals, parents, and young people using the referral forms linked below. Competed referral forms need to be emailed to transitions.referrals@gipsil.org.uk
