- Designed & commissioned our new website
- Run two Facebook groups – Our main forum page which is a noticeboard for us to share information & our Chat Group which a closed group for SEND parents/carers to be able to chat with each other, ask questions for other parents and/or us to answer, run mini polls to gather parents' views on specific topics
- Parent Surveys to gather parents voice
- Hold weekly virtual Cuppa & Chat sessions every Sunday evening at 7pm to provide much needed peer support for parents/carers
- Write, edit & produce a monthly newsletter for parents/carers
- Run giveaways via our Facebook pages
- Offer 1:1 virtual peer support (via Zoom) for families wanting to access support privately
- Help families read, understand & action letters from hospital, school, the LA or any other professional
- Help parents complete requests for EHCP needs assessments
- Helped families access school places during COVID-19 lockdown
- Signpost families into services such as Barnardo’s WESAIL
- Produced & distributed Wellbeing bags to our forum members
- Sit on the Steering Group for the Regional Forum Meetings representing Yorkshire & Humberside which then feeds in Nationally with the Department for Education.
- Filling out grant applications to bid for money to be able to carry out the work we have planned
- Tested & helped shape the new Information Network online SEND register
- Tested and fed back on the new 50 Things to do before you are 5 app & website
- Triple P Positive Parenting Course- KIDS WASP project
- Work closely with all partners to improve services for SEND families within Wakefield
- Involved in shaping & supporting the new CAMHS Tier 4 Hospital Development in Armley, Leeds (which will be used by Wakefield & other local areas)
